Carme ROYO

Carme ROYO

Executive Director of EUCEN since July 2008. In this position, on the one hand I work with the Steering Committee of EUCEN in the strategic positioning of the Association at European level and coordinating relationships to external stakeholders. On the other hand, I am responsible for managing the day-to-day business of the Association as Director of the EUCEN Secretariat in Barcelona, including the preparation of the annual work plan and budget, the monitoring of performance and the reporting. Due to the specific character of EUCEN, my responsibilities include building up effective collaboration with academic experts for the development of expertise in University Lifelong Learning (ULLL) and relevant products such as publications. Equally important, I am responsible for the development and management of European projects. In relation to this last point, I have fully and successfully coordinated all EUCEN projects since 2011 (i.e. ALLUME, IMPLEMENT, DIALOGUE, OBSERVAL-Net, COMMIT, HE4u2, VINCE and ApprEnt). https://es.linkedin.com/pub/carme-royo/12/557/a44

VALERU aims to establish mechanisms and human resources for the validation of non-formal/informal learning in Russian Higher Education in order to ensure sustainable development of Russian HE.

The TALOE project intends to promote the internal consistency of online courses by using the ALOA model (Aligning Learning Outcomes and Assessment) and developing a web-tool to help teachers and trainers decide on the e-assessment strategies to use in their online courses.

This web-tool is aimed to raise teachers' awareness about the variety of e-assessment strategies in order to achieve better quality of the learning process. TALOE assumes that a teacher/trainer will describe the learning outcomes of the course or module and then use the TALOE web-tool online to analyse them and provide the most appropriated e-assessment strategy that is consistent with the set of intended learning outcomes.
