As the AGEINGREEN project reaches its conclusion, it proudly celebrates a journey of empowerment, learning, and community action. With the vision to inspire older adults to take an active role in the green transition, the project has successfully combined environmental education with creativity, reflection, and intergenerational exchange.

Throughout its implementation, AGEINGREEN has delivered three intergenerational workshops and an interactive city treasure hunt in all partner countries, all designed to foster sustainable living and strengthen social connections between generations. From understanding the science of climate change, to exploring how our daily habits affect both planetary and personal health, to discovering ways to live more sustainably, participants gained valuable knowledge and practical tools to lead by example in their communities.

The AGEINGREEN Multiplier Event

On Saturday, 4 October 2025, Citizens Act organised this special Multiplier Event with great success.

The event was divided into two sessions. It began with a welcoming introduction, where participants enjoyed coffee and snacks while learning about the AGEINGREEN project — its goals, achievements, and European impact. Afterwards, those who wished took part in the treasure hunt: a fun city walk with riddles and eco-spots that encouraged participants to discover how we can all live more sustainably. The event was free and open to adults and families, blending learning with play and community spirit.

Final Online Conference

The project officially concluded with an online conference held on 13 October 2025, which also gathered great success. Adult educators, project participants, and individuals from across Europe joined to hear about the project’s achievements, results, and lessons learned. The session concluded with an open discussion, where participants shared ideas and reflections on how to continue promoting intergenerational environmental learning.

Looking Ahead

AGEINGREEN has shown that ageing and climate action go hand in hand. Older adults are not just learners but changemakers, capable of inspiring others to act for a more sustainable world.

As the project team finalised all the AGEINGREEN deliverables, including all handbooks, workshops and the treasure hunt, these materials are available to support educators and communities across Europe. AGEINGREEN may be ending, but its message continues: it is never too late to take action, learn something new, and lead others towards a greener, fairer future for all generations.
