In collaboration with Livadia Lyceum, Emphasys Centre successfully organized a series of engaging and hands-on workshops for VET trainers and students במסגרת του έργου 3DECO-PRENEURS4VET. The workshops aimed to bridge the gap between education and the evolving demands of the labour market by combining digital innovation with sustainable and entrepreneurial thinking.

Throughout the sessions, participants were introduced to the core vision of the 3DECO-PRENEURS4VET project, which focuses on addressing the dual challenges of digital and green transformation. By equipping both trainers and learners with essential skills in 3D Modelling, Design, and Printing (3D-M-P), alongside social entrepreneurship competencies, the initiative promotes a future-oriented approach to vocational education and training.

A Hands-On Learning Experience

Each workshop session combined theoretical knowledge with practical application through interactive 3D design activities.

  • First Session:
Participants were introduced to the project’s objectives, as well as the fundamentals of 3D design and 3D printing. The session also explored sustainable and green practices, highlighting the importance of environmentally responsible innovation. The session concluded with a hands-on 3D design workshop, allowing participants to apply their newly acquired knowledge.
  • Second Session:
The focus shifted to entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship. Participants explored the differences between the two concepts and examined real-life examples from Cyprus. The session emphasized how innovation can address societal challenges, followed again by a practical 3D design activity.
  • Third Session:
The final session delved deeper into 3D design and printing technologies. Participants were then challenged to work in small groups, combining all three core themes—technology, sustainability, and entrepreneurship—to create their own 3D objects and develop corresponding business plans.
    From Ideas to Innovation

The creativity and collaboration of the participants led to the development of several innovative 3D solutions, including:

AQUAPAL – a self-watering plant pot designed for easy plant care
BALCOBLOOM – a square self-watering pot suitable for balconies
FARMSHELL – an eco-friendly egg carrier for local farmers
WALLiGREEN – a vertical garden system for urban spaces
Weatherly – a solar-powered WiFi weather station

Each concept reflected the integration of sustainable design, practical problem-solving, and entrepreneurial thinking—key pillars of the project.
