GreenSteam Project Conclusion: Two Years of Action for Green and Entrepreneurial STEAM Education
The international project GreenSteam (GREENovation & STEAMpreneurship), implemented under the Erasmus+ program, has successfully reached its conclusion. Over the past two years, academic institutions and organizations from six European countries have worked together to create a modern educational framework that addresses the challenges of the contemporary world.
The core mission of GreenSteam was to strengthen green, digital, social, and entrepreneurial competencies among STEAM students. The project placed a special emphasis on empowering women and underrepresented groups in the future labor market, tackling challenges related to the green transition, the skills gap, and gender inequality in STEM sectors.
Key Project Results
Throughout the project's duration, the consortium developed high-quality resources to support green transformation in higher education:
- Innovative training courses based on the flipped learning model.
- An educational toolkit and work scenarios for learning labs.
- An open, multilingual e-learning platform, available free of charge to students, educators, and institutions.
Education for the Future
The educational materials integrate sustainability, entrepreneurship, design thinking, and digital skills. These resources were rigorously tested through international pilot activities and hackathons involving students from across Europe.
Although the project has formally ended, its results will continue to be utilized and developed. They will remain a vital resource for higher education and lifelong learning in the context of the green economy and social innovation.
