The new school year has begun. In our kindergarten, we offer parenting support programs every year. These are support groups that bring together interested parents (about 12 parents per group) who gather together for 11 weeks (about 3 months). Educated workshop leaders help them think about what kind of parents they are, what they can be better at, to learn some new skills (communication, setting boundaries, etc.).

Konstantina SoumpeniotiIt’s wonderful to hear about your parenting support programs! Offering such resources strengthens the bond between schools and families, creating a nurturing environment for children.
At our kindergarten, we recognize that supporting parents is essential for fostering a child’s holistic development. We offer various forms of support designed to help parents navigate the challenges and joys of raising young children. These include:
Parenting Workshops: Similar to your program, we organize small group workshops where parents can learn new strategies for effective communication, positive discipline, and building resilience in their children. These workshops are facilitated by experienced educators and child development specialists.
Individual Consultations: For parents who prefer one-on-one support, we offer scheduled meetings with child psychologists or counselors to discuss specific concerns, such as managing tantrums, sleep routines, or sibling rivalry.

Monthly Parent Meetings: These meetings provide a platform for parents to connect with teachers, discuss their child’s progress, and exchange ideas with other parents. Topics often include early childhood education techniques, emotional well-being, and fostering independence.
Online Resources: We maintain a parent resource portal featuring articles, videos, and tips on parenting topics. This is especially helpful for parents who cannot attend in-person sessions.
Family Engagement Activities: To strengthen the parent-child bond, we host events like family craft days, storytelling sessions, and outdoor picnics. These activities encourage shared learning experiences in a relaxed and joyful setting.
Transition Support: We provide guidance and workshops to help parents and children adapt to key transitions, such as starting kindergarten or moving to primary school.
We believe that by empowering parents with knowledge and tools, we create a more supportive and thriving community for everyone. Programs like yours are truly inspiring, and we’d love to exchange ideas to enhance our initiatives further!Afficher plusIl y a 10 mois
