BarbaraA song with movement that we use as a morning exercise:
LITTLE HANDS HURRYED,
THAT THEY SHOULD LIKE BRANCHES.
TO FLY LIKE BIRDS,
FLAVING LIKE LEAVES.
TO COME TOGETHER WITH APPLAUSE,
TO CIRCLE LIGHTLY,
THEY CHANGE FASTER THE BETTER
ONE UP, ANOTHER DOWN.
CROW, JUMP, CROW, JUMP,
FORWARD, BACK
HE STEPS WITH HIS FOOT.
NOW SPREAD YOUR LEGS AND LOOK THROUGH THEM,
COLLECT, EXPAND, PEEK,
AND THEN SOOTHE THEM LIGHTLY.
BREATHE DEEPLY, FILL YOUR CHEST,
EXERCISE EVERYDAY AND BE HEALTHY. Il y a 4 mois
Konstantina SoumpeniotiEncouraging physical activity and active play in preschool children is crucial for their physical, social, and cognitive development. Active play helps children develop gross motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength while promoting teamwork, creativity, and problem-solving.

“The lions are chasing a butterfly—crawl faster!” “The birds are flying over a big river—fly higher!” “The elephants are crossing the muddy jungle—stomp slowly and carefully!” Rotate Animals: Change the animal every 1–2 minutes to keep the energy high and maintain engagement.
Cool Down: End with a calming animal, like a turtle (slow crawling) or a butterfly resting (stretching wings and sitting).
Why It’s Important: This game combines physical activity with imaginative play, fostering gross motor skill development and creativity. It’s also inclusive and easy to adapt to the energy levels and abilities of all children.
Sandra Stojkovic HinicIceland has a lot of sun during the summer, but rain, snow and wind are usual guest all around the year. Use your climate, nature and surroundings to practice, walk or just enjoy the outdoors activities. Here are examples from Iceland: - Print out the picture of a spider/wasp and put it inside the hula ring. - Tell kids they should make the shape of a spider using only things they find in nature and have fun. - Print out yoga cards with postures. Show kids what to do and try to stay in a position for 10-15 seconds. Best to have a teacher to show them and don't forget to breath using only your nose. As we say, There is no bad weather, just bad clothes. Go outside, sing and dance in the rain. Let kids enjoy every moment of their childhood. - Snow is our building material. Make a house or a slide. Jump, roll and dig but don't forget to laugh. - Help birds to eat during the long cold winter. Caring about others, makes you a better person. Il y a 4 mois
