A lot of interns do not receive proper guidance or training during their internship. The reasons are many: companies are expecting interns to come with already acquired knowledge straight from the university. Moreover, employees at the current workplace are often times busy and sometimes they don't want to give an intern extensive training out of fear they might be replaced or demoted. Interns on the other hand expect to learn most things during the job. I think that, given that universities teach broad knowledge which does not always touch upon specific job requirements interns should receive extensive on the job training. What do you think?
