Although there has been an increase in women entrepreneurs in the last couple of years data shows that they are underrepresented in this field compared to men. For example in Europe less than 15% of start-ups are owned by women although start-ups funded by women have a slightly higher chance of success. They are also less likely to get funding from investment and venture capital firms. Why do you think this is and how can the situation be improved?
