We are discussing problems of designing, establishing and evaluating serious games in Lifelong...
Designing and establishing serious games in lifelong learning means that people with different backgrounds have to collaborate, especially if those games should be running on a computer. As we are talking about Lifelong Learning serious games do not necessarily have to stand on their own. They can be a part of broader learning activities and so the evaluation of learning activities is also a topic of this group.
What do Dian Fossey, Jeanne D´Arc, King Arthur, Leonardo da Vinci, Phileas Fogg and Sherlock Holmes have in common? They all are MENTORS on the AGROPOLY platform, chosen by their outstanding capabilities to support gamers with their advice and specific knowledge and skills. Players receive hints and tips from the Mentors regarding how to develop their skills and use them in agricultural entrepreneurship. These form the base of a thematic knowledge Garden, which functions practically as an e-Learning Library.
Thanks to Jaione Santos Miguel for sharing.

I just tested the game, and think it's really helpful for people who want to learn more about their negotiation skills (type). In this case I had to negiotate a few holiday choices with my "virtual wife". Should we spend our holidays at the sea or go to the mountains? The aim was to find a solution which would accommodate both of us.
Nice game platform worth a visit

Just uploaded the outlines of a an interactive board game (see right side of this page), which has been developed jointly by the University of Lille and Les petits freres, an international care organisation. The aim of the game is to make vislble competences and support collaboration among voluntary and professional staff in elderly care organisations. A complete game set is available in French language. If you should be interested in a copy just PM me.
Newsfeed: In the projekt Rakoon we design a serious game for open organisations with the (main) learning target to be more open minded and to think outside the box. Within the serious game there is a virtual classroom packed with learning stuff and here is one of these materials for you: A video about organisational development (in german). hope you enjoy. here is the link, the video is to big: www.dropbox.com/s/he5hn7xckv6sf8s/rakoon_lernende_…

Dear group members,
I just saw that some members of our community have experience in developing educational games, such as Jaione Santos Miguel and Liliana Grecu, who recently collaborated on a project entitled "Playing for Interculturality". The project has been carried out under the European Lifelong Learning Program, and has developed an "innovative social game ... that promotes apprenticeship of intercultural competences of European adults, motivating them to take an active role and interact with other users, boosting key competences, such as digital socialization and media literacy." Guess it's a good idea to get in touch and share your discussions with them.
